PERSONAL STATEMENT ON THERAPEUTIC PHILOSOPHY
COURTNEY CAVALL, LMHC MH 10216, LICENSED MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELOR
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist and Rational Emotive Therapist. I use a multi-modality approach with clients to share innovative, brief solutions-oriented therapeutic tools vs. “problem-based” therapy. During treatment, you will gain the therapeutic tools necessary for identifying and dismantling negative mental thought patterns and core beliefs, quick and easy cognitive problem-solving strategies, and simple techniques for emotional processing. My holistic method provides clients with coping skills that can be applied to all facets of life, rather than focusing on why issues initially occurred. We often become stuck with no idea how to feel better. If you broke your leg a doctor wouldn’t insist on the details of how it happened, he would simply treat and heal the fracture. Likewise, when the mind feels fractured from trauma, we must heal the mind. In our lives there will be times we feel blocked, my role as therapist is to assist you on removing mental blocks and finding realistic and effective solutions that work for you and build self-awareness.
